They have the YouBar and the YouShake, so why not YouTrailMix? Though the name doesn’t roll quite as smoothly off the tongue, the YouTrailMix turned out to be my favorite product offering from YouBar.

The YouShake got our top vote for taste, the YouBar for gift-giving or even promotional events, but the YouTrailMix won me over as the best all around package for every day. At just $1.89 per generous package (and mine were the "small" size!), I found the YouTrailMix invaluable on busy days. Though I know I could easily throw some raisins, almonds, and sunflower seeds in a bag and call them a trail mix, it wouldn’t compare in quality to the offerings from YouTrailMix.

My personalized trail mixes included the ingredients I hand-picked: Organic Cacao Nibs, Sweetened Blueberries, Goji Berries, Pecans, Cashews, and Almonds. For the price of convenience and customization, and the fact that each little bag proved to be a substantial energy snack, I consider this product an excellent value. After all, I wouldn’t normally go out and purchase goji berries, cacao nibs, or even dried blueberries, but YouBar will mix up a special blend just for me, and they don’t skimp. Forget about those “superfood” trail mixes that are packed with “filler” peanuts and raisins, this is just what you ordered. Definitely worth it when convenience is calling.

Like the YouBars and YouShakes, the YouTrailMix does make an excellent gift or promotional item too. You can name the mix whatever name you like, and the package is even neatly wrapped up with a bow (it comes even neater than this … I busted it open to taste a package right away and had to re-tie it before taking the picture … oops!):

For just $1.49 per package, you can purchase a premade YouTrailMix (rather than customizing your own), but only the “Mix Up Your Day” mix was dairy-free at the time of this review. It contains Oat Bran Sesame Sticks, Organic Cashews, Almonds, Dried Pineapple, Goji Berries, and Shredded Coconut.

Whether you buy one of their Popular Mixes or customize your own, I definitely recommend giving YouTrailMix a try for yourself. But, if you do go the customized route, I recommend upgrading to the medium (45 grams for $1.99 per package) or large (55 grams for $2.19 per package) sized packages for an even more stellar value!
