I was recently made aware of this wonderful vegan (egg-free and dairy-free) bakery that specializes in birthday cakes, wedding cakes, muffins, and savoury tarts.  They even have a variety of soy (soya)-free and gluten-free options.  But, alas, they are out of my personal reach to sample!  Here on the west coast of the United States, I am a far reach from the freshly baked goods of Blue Lotus in the U.K.

However, since they do deliver anywhere in the U.K., and they run a dedicated vegan/dairy-free facility, I thought it only fair to include the reviews of others for this wonderful sounding bakery, and a few pictures to entice!

Carrot & Cinnamon Cake

Gluten-Free Apple Cake

"The cake itself was a lovely moist texture full of flavour and it didnt have the usual dry cardboard taste that other gluten free cakes tend to have. Unfortunately, Im not a fan of cloves and it seemed to have what I believe to be a rather intense clove flavouring and after-taste about it, which did ruin it for me. If you like cloves (If this indeed was the mystery flavoursome ingredient) though, you will love this cake!!" - Carly Greene
