Blueberry and Flaxseed Smoothie (Vegan, Gluten-Free, Nut-Free) PDF Print E-mail

Mom-a-liciousFrom Domenica Catelli's cookbook, Mom-a-Licious, reprinted by Go Organic! for Earth Day.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup organic fresh or frozen blueberries (or peaches, raspberries, & strawberries)
  • 1 organic frozen banana
  • 2 cups organic pomegranate or other unsweetened fruit juice
  • ½ cup organic soy kefir or organic plain soy yogurt (or 1 cup organic soy milk)
  • 1 tablespoon organic ground flaxseed
  • Optional: If you prefer it sweeter, add organic honey, maple syrup or agave nectar

The Process:
 
Pulse everything in the blender and enjoy.
