Bread Machine - Crusty-Tea Bread (Vegan, Soy-Free) PDF Print E-mail
This recipe comes from the large vegan and tea collection at The Cat-Tea Corner.

Yield: One loaf 

Ingredients for one Small Loaf:

  • 3/4 cup Extra-strong black tea, prepared using double amount of tea
  • 2 cups Flour (unbleached, or a combination of unbleached and whole wheat)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1-1/2 tsp Active dry yeast

Ingredients for one Large Loaf:

  • 1-1/2 cups Extra-strong black tea, prepared using double amount of tea
  • 3 cups Flour (unbleached, or a combination of unbleached and whole wheat)
  • 1-1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2-1/4 tsp Active dry yeast

Directions:

Place ingredients in baking pan in listed order, and bake on European bread cycle. (Try substituting oatmeal flour for up to 1/6 of the total amount for a lighter loaf.)
