NY, New York City – The Butcher’s Daughter

1

The Butcher’s Daughter uses fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables to craft beautiful and creative vegetarian meals and refreshing juices. They call themselves a “vegetable slaughter house”. This beautifully decorated restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. Their menu is constantly changing, but is always completely vegetarian and non-dairy as well as mostly vegan and gluten-free.

The space, vibe, and the food at The Butcher’s Daughter are all so inspiring. It was designed to be a feminine take on an old butcher’s shop, and all of the spaces are seriously dreamy for a special dining experience.

The Butcher’s Daughter offers a little bit of everything – fresh juices, vegan baked goods, toast and sandwiches, bowls, stone oven pizzas, and beautifully crafted salads. Their most popular menu item is definitely their Avocado Toast and for very good reason. It is hands down the best avocado toast ever! It starts with thick 12 grain bread that’s toasted just enough that it’s crunchy and still soft on the inside then it’s piled high (no exaggeration) with bright green fresh avocado and topped with lime juice, cilantro, and mustard seed – served on a pretty wooden cutting board. Their house-made coconut yogurt and granola is always a good choice as well and I’ve heard very high praises for their Kale Caesar Salad with tempeh bacon. Also, everything tastes a bit better when paired with one of their beautiful wellness lattes.

Whatever you end up ordering from The Butcher’s Daughter, it will be incredible and so nourishing! You’ll leave feeling satisfied, happy, and vibrant. I know I always do! It’s always one of my top recommendations when people are looking for must-eat spots in New York. When I first discovered it, I ended up going for breakfast and lunch in the same day! It’s hard to stay away from this spot. Whenever I go, I go with the intention to try something new, but I just can’t turn down that smashed avocado toast.

In the evenings, The Butcher’s Daughter also serves fresh cocktails, craft beer, wines, and sake as well as decadent desserts.
