Laughing Planet Cafe

Laughing Planet Cafe has become one of my new favorite spots for dairy-free eats. This isn’t a large chain, but hopefully one that is growing – they have locations throughout Oregon, and oddly enough, one spot in Reno, Nevada – at last check. See their website below for current locations and menus.

I’ve tried nearly every dairy-free bowl option at Laughing Planet Cafe, and not one was disappointing. But the Cuban …

…and the Korean…

… may currently be the tops on my list. Laughing Planet Cafe also offers so much for vegans (with tempeh and tofu options galore and even vegan house-made cookies) and for gluten-free diners (again, even some cookies!). We found them very accommodating and they even have a book on premises with ingredients (may vary by location).

Laughing Planet Cafe is a “fast-casual” spot that feels a bit TexMex in menu type (bowls, salads, burritos, special tacos, etc), but the flavors they use are quite global – Thai, Indian, etc.
