Frankie & Jo’s is a little ice cream shop in Seattle that serves purely plant-based scoops. In fact, all of their flavors are dairy-free, vegan, and gluten-free, and made from fruits, vegetables, shrubs, and flowers, sourced mostly from organic farms. And since their focus is to highlight natural ingredients, they keep things as minimal and as pure as possible.
At Frankie & Jo’s, nearly everything is made in house, including the nut milk base for their ice cream. Even the waffle cones are cooked up on the premises, and are surprisingly gluten-free! In fact, they try to accomodate as many special diets as possible. They typically shun refined sweetener, and use mostly dates and maple syrup instead. And although they are a nutty establishment, you will usually find a few nut-free flavors that are clearly marked.
Yes, everything about Frankie and Jo’s is unique, and I haven’t even addressed their innovative flavors. Just some of their offerings include Gingered Golden Milk, Salty Caramel Ash, Tahini Chocolate, and Beet Strawberry Rose. They also churn a good selection of seasonal flavors.
If you can’t make it to this cool spot, you can at least order some of their fabulous dairy-free ice cream. Frankie & Jo’s packs several of their beloved flavors into pints and ships them to customers across the United States.
