Using local organic ingredients is a focus of Organic Works Bakery. In fact, they are the first Eco-Certified Organic, Gluten Free Bakery in Canada! This bakery is completely dairy free, egg free, nut free, tree and ground nut free and mostly soy free. Their most popular baked good is their Quinoa and Honey Bread, which is their only item that is not completely vegan. They do offer a Quinoa and Maple Bread for a vegan option! Both of these loaves are made from quinoa that is milled to a flour at the bakery and locally sourced honey or maple syrup.

Aside from beautiful bread loaves, they also bake up a variety of cookies, dinner rolls, granolas, brownies, and bars. They also make full sized pies and cakes to order. They even offer an allergen-free version of a Canadian classic – the nanaimo bar!
