Not only are their products vegan (dairy-free + egg-free) and gluten-free, they also bake without corn, peanuts, and soy (they use coconut oil rather than margarine). And the icing on the cake? Sweet Freedom Bakery uses only natural and unrefined sweeteners and shuns preservatives.

Sweet Freedom Bakery is all about full disclosure, too. They bake a huge array cupcakes, cakes, cookies, quick bread, brownies, muffins, donuts and more, and list the ingredients for all right on their website! Sweet Freedom Bakery does take orders, and can whip up very cute custom cakes for birthdays and other special occasions.

  1. Baked goods without corn–sign me up!

Not so fast. This bakery sounded great so I went to the website and found xanthan gum in all most all of the products. Xanthan gum is made from corn. This is a huge problem for those of us with corn allergies.
