  • 1 cup plain dairy-free milk beverage
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon dry mustard powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Pinch black pepper
  • ¼ cup dairy-free buttery

  2. Whisk the milk beverage and vinegar together in a glass measuring cup.
  3. Add the flour, nutritional yeast, baking powder, mustard powder, salt, and pepper to a large bowl and whisk to combine. Add the buttery spread and peanut butter and whisk until coarse crumbs form.

  5. Put the dough on a lightly floured surface, and cut it into even sized pieces – 12 for littler scones, 8 for larger ones.
