The recalled Brinkman’s Gourmet Barbecue Sauce products were distributed to retail stores and distribution centers in Ohio and direct to consumers in Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, and Iowa. The product comes in 22 oz. and 40 oz. glass jars and a 160 oz. plastic jug.

No illness has been reported to date in connection with this problem.

Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by temporary breakdown in the company’s packaging process.

Production of the product has been suspended until the FDA and the company are certain the problem has been corrected.
