Hansen's Beverage Company has been boasting a "natural" soda line for years. Unfortunately, since there are no regulations on the word "natural," this term seems to include high fructose corn syrup by Hansen's definition. Under these very loose terms, most sodas could be considered natural. However, Hansen's has finally emerged with two new beverage lines that seem to use cane sugar and/or other ingredients that I readily recognize. They are:
Hansen's Anti-Oxidant Rich Teas – "Hansens has Imported from Nature , a new variety of refreshing & premium ready to drink teas just for you! Inside every bottle of Hansen's Natural Tea, you'll discover a delicious and healthy mixture of natural ingredients. Enjoy the irresistible flavors with every sip from the refreshing fusion of antioxidant-rich tea leaves and exotic fruit essences. Each bottle of tea is lightly sweetened with pure cane sugar and contains 75 mg of EGCG (Epigallocatechin Gallate), a natural and powerful antioxidant. Hansen's Natural Teas are certified kosher and contains no preservatives, no gmo's, no gluten, no artificial colors or flavors." – You can contact them directly to request a coupon.
Hansen's FIZZIT – "FIZZIT is a refreshing, effervescent vitamin and mineral supplement with 1000 mg of vitamin C, 32 mineral complexes, B vitamins, herbal extracts, antioxidants, and electrolytes." It comes in boxes that hold 24 individual packets, with instructions to just add water. It is available in 6 flavors. Sound familiar? Yes, this seems to be a take off on the powder made by Emergen-C. The ingredient labels do differ ever so slightly, something I plan to look into.
