I’m excited to share the long-awaited 2nd edition of Go Dairy Free: The Guide and Cookbook with you! It’s now available via all major booksellers, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Indigo.
The first edition of Go Dairy Free was released back in 2008, and it has sold more than 50,000 copies! But it’s been a decade, and it was time for a major update. This isn’t just a pretty face lift. I listened to everything you had to say over the past decade and used your feedback to improve and massively expand my flagship book!
Go Dairy Free 2nd Edition has every tool needed to go dairy free, and to help you to be dairy free every day. It isn’t just for newbies. In fact, even after decades of living dairy free, this is my own daily reference.
Go Dairy Free 2nd Edition Upgrades
More of Everything: The first edition was scrunched and squeezed to fit into a standard-size book. But now I’m able to fit every helpful tidbit in. It’s now the largest and most extensive dairy-free living book available. In fact, it’s over 450 pages!
Over 250 Recipes: This isn’t just a guide, it’s also a BIG cookbook. This 2nd edition includes 160 new and improved recipes, plus over 90 of your favorite recipes from the first edition. There are tons of homemade alternatives, sweets, and savories to make dairy-free living easy and delicious.
Milk Beverage Mania: Since so many of you loved the dairy alternative section in the first edition, I’ve expanded it and added a whole new chapter on plant-based “milks.” It includes homemade tips, tasting notes, nutritional highlights, creamer recommendations, and more.
Pampering for Parents: With the help of experienced milk allergy moms, I was able to include more ideas for infants and toddlers. I’ve also added quite a few family-friendly options for snacking and meals.
Current Health Research: Related studies just keep popping up, and I wanted to make sure you know about them. Each informational section has been updated with the latest and greatest findings.
Vegan-Friendly: Every single recipe in this book now includes a tested, fully-vegan option. It is still a general dairy-free cookbook for all, but I wanted to make sure my plant-based friends could enjoy each nibble, too.
More Gluten-Free & Food Allergy Options: There is an, easy to cross-reference special diet chart for every recipe in this book. It covers vegan, gluten-free, egg-free, nut-free, peanut-free, and soy-free options. I’ve also added even more gluten-free and allergy-friendly options, and ample information for almost every dietary need.
But the Pretty Face Lift is a Big Bonus
Thanks to my publisher, BenBella Books, Go Dairy Free 2nd Edition now looks great inside and out. It has an easy-to-spot new cover, and well-laid out chapters that are much easier to follow.
And I know that the font in the first edition was ridiculously small. More than a few of you complained. So we fixed that problem. The larger book size has allowed us to up the font in this edition to a normal size for reading.
