Caitlin ~ When I was a baby, I was allergic to milk. After about age 2, the doctor said I could drink it again. For the next few years, I had constant ear infections, but no one seemed to correlate it with the milk allergy.
When I got into middle school, I began having random rashes every once in a while behind my ears, and would break out in hives. I went to the doctor and of course they just gave me some hydrocortisone cream, and things slowly got better …
A couple years later, I started having extreme headaches and migraines multiple times a week and I was so lethargic all the time. I could spend all day in bed! And when I did get up, I felt so dizzy. One morning I even passed out in the shower. I was also having about 3 sinus infections a year. I saw two doctors, and was blood tested for anemia and hormone problems. Both tests came back negative. My doctor never tested me for allergies, but suggested that maybe I was pregnant! (I wasn't even sexually active!!!!) At this point I was so tired of doctors that I just decided to get used to the symptoms in my life.
When I got to college, the headaches got worse, as well as the drowsiness and dizziness. I developed this hideous rash on my face, and I also had 2 sinus infections in my first year! I went online and read the story of someone who was having similar symptoms and found out they had a milk allergy. It made sense since my favorite snacks were yogurt, string cheese, and cereal. I connected all the dots and cut out all milk products the next day. After about a week, I felt 100% better! My rash went away almost immediately. Now I have so much energy all the time and rarely have headaches. I also lost about 10 pounds without even exercising.
I feel so much better now without dairy in my life. I recommend it to anyone, even those who aren't allergic. I regret not cutting dairy out sooner!

I’m not surprised at all! Before I cut out dairy (in addition to gluten and sesame, the other two foods I am intolerant to) I was on THREE prescriptions for allergies and STILL had allergy symptoms! I also used to get about 3-4 sinus infections per year and headaches. None of that has been an issue since cutting out those pesky foods 🙂
