Alisa Fleming ~ New Silk Fruit&Protein from Silk Brand Soymilk is like a pre-made smoothie. It comes in the following three flavors:

  • Silk Fruit&Protein Mango Peach offers an exotic fruit flavor with Pear, Apple, and Peach Juices plus Mango Puree.
  • Silk Fruit&Protein Mixed Berry is a tangy-sweet blend of Pear, Apple, Raspberry and Blueberry Juices.
  • Silk Fruit&Protein Strawberry Banana has a classic smoothie taste from Pear, Apple, and Strawberry Juices plus Banana Puree.

Per serving, Silk Fruit&Protein has 5 grams of protein. This is roughly on par with their regular soymilks, but with added flavor, sweetness, and vitamin C from the fruit juices, plus an even lower fat profile – just 1.5 grams of fat per serving.

Though not organic, Silk Fruit&Protein carries the non-GMO label from the company. According to WhiteWave Foods, the makers of Silk Brand products, “Silk products contain only soybeans grown without genetic engineering. And to be absolutely sure, we’re proud to participate in the Non-GMO Project.”

Dietary Notes: By ingredients, the beverages are Vegan, Vegetarian, Dairy-Free, Egg-Free, Gluten-Free, Nut-Free, Peanut-Free, and Wheat-Free. See the packaging for allergen and manufacturing "may contain" labeling, and contact the manufacturer when severe food allergies are of concern.
