Alisa Fleming ~This is a well written and beautifully illustrated e-book that was created by two friends and caring moms, Alexa of Lexie's Kitchen and Nicola of G-Free Mom. I double-checked, and the entire e-book is dairy-free (a couple recipes give you a dairy-free option and a dairy option, but all others are dairy-free and vegan as is – everything within is also gluten-free), and the tips are universally helpful for getting both kids and adults to up their healthy food quota in a delicious liquid form. I've already tried two of the recipes (see below), and they are both wonderful.
Within this eBook you will find … Tips like "How to Hide Greens" & "Smoothies and the Color Wheel," 9 Kid-Friendly and Beginner Smoothie Recipes, 19 "Now I'm Feeling Braver" Smoothie and Juice Recipes, Soup Recipes, Detox Tips, and Personal Stories.
Not only will this book provide you with inspiration to increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables, but it also benefits others. All proceeds from this e-book go directly to MitoAction, a Boston-based nonprofit helping children and adults with mitochondrial disease.
Recipes Trialed: Coconut Mango Smoothie with Lime (pictured above – rich and dessert-like!) and Glugle Green Smoothie (ingredients pictured below – refreshing and just sweet enough)
