These allergy friendly gummy treats were a hit with kids and adults alike! Not only did we love the sweet candy treats, we loved what was in them even more. These candies are flavored with organic fruit juices, sweetened with organic tapioca syrup, and contain no artificial ingredients. They make for a delightful sweet treat and are definitely a little healthier!

Surf Sweets - All natural candy that's a little healthier!

Fruit snacks have been my go-to food allergy emergency snack/dessert item for YEARS. So there was real excitement when Surf Sweets released a line of naturally sweetened, corn-syrup free gummy candies! Plus they are gluten-free, dairy-free, allergy-friendly treats produced in a dedicated nut-free facility.

Surf Sweets offers a variety of gummy treats such as worms, bears, and fruity rings available in a few different flavors. We had a chance to sample some of these sweet treats and will include Tasting Notes below.

Tasting Notes for Surf Sweets

Overall, we were all so impressed with these sweets. I especially loved that Surf Sweets puts a healthy twist on these sugary snacks with their simple real ingredients.

Gummy Bears

The Gummy Bears taste just like, well, gummy bears. Each bear is full of real fruit juice and you can really taste it! Not to mention, they have 100% of your daily recommended Vitamin C. Sweet treats with benefits – I’m in.

Sour Berry Bears and Sour Worms

The Sour Berry Bears and Sour Worms are not quite as sour as the usual Sour Patch Kid-type treat. Two of my children don’t like sour candies and they liked these. The third child wished they were a bit more sour. These sour candies have a firmer consistency, like those candy citrus slices your great-aunt always gave you when you visited her.

Leah also gave the sour worms a try:

After eyeing up Surf Sweets candies at the store for ages, picking them and putting them back over and over, finally I bought myself a bag of the Sour Worms. It took me so long to finally do it because vegan gummies are pretty rare so I figured they must be hard or impossible to make. I assumed they would just be all wrong. I’m so happy I did too because they’re SO good!

They’re just the right amount of sour and sweet and have a really good chew to them. It’s not quite as chewy as I remember gelatin-based sour worms being, but I was really okay with that. I found that the grapefruit flavor stood out the most out of all the worms and again, I was okay with that. Also I happily discovered that I was completely content just having one or two worms at a time when my sweet tooth hit.

Jelly Beans

The jelly beans are the consistency of regular jelly beans, with really fresh fruit flavors. We loved how much variety of flavor there was in the bag. All naturally flavored and colored with organic fruit juice.

Watermelon Rings

Leah gave these vibrant pink rings a try:

Again, I was really impressed. I’ve never been a fan of fresh watermelon (weird, I know), but I always found artificial watermelon flavor pleasant (even weirder, yep) and these had the perfect artificial watermelon flavor that brought me back to my childhood. I would definitely buy again.

  1. I run a healthy vending company and I’m looking to find a healthier gummy snacks that sells like crazy. The Kellogg’s fruit snack that I’ve been using no longer meets the healthy guidelines for high schools. Do you guys sell wholesale?
