Cuties is still a top mandarin producer, but they discontinued all lines of Cuties Smoothies and Juices. For other dairy-free, ready-to-drink smoothie options, look for products like Welch’s Protein Smoothies and Once Upon a Farm Probiotic Smoothies.
Cutie’s has definitely figured out that branding and packaging sells product, and they have done a top notch job in not only creating enticing products, but making them healthy, too! My teenage niece, my friend’s 5-year-old, my neighbor – they all call tangerines “Cuties” regardless of who grew them, and none of us could resist the insanely adorable packaging of Cuties Juice Smoothies.
In addition to the flavors pictured above, there is also a pure tangerine juice in the single-serves and in full-size packages that my family can down in a day. If you haven’t had tangerine juice yet, run, don’t walk, and get some now. It takes orange juice to another delicious level.
But back to the Cuties Juice Smoothies. I opted to feature them in a product editorial for Allergic Living magazine this summer, because not only are they cute and delicious, but they are also produced in a facility that is free of the top eight allergens (if coconut is a concern for you, see this post).
Cuties Juice Smoothies are made with real fruit purees, pure fruit juice, coconut cream (in select flavors), and no added sweeteners. In addition to the straight tangerine juice, the single-serves come in six smoothie flavors: Monkey Madness, Dreamsicle, Rockin’ Red, GoGo Green, Blue Blaster and Island Cuties. They were all yummy, for lack of a more appropriate word, and have a pure clean flavor. My favorites were the:
Rockin Red – A perfect and very drinkable blend of fruits with just the right amount of strawberry. Sweet, but not too sweet, and ever so slightly thicker and creamier than juice.
Monkey Madness – Richer and creamier than the others and with a perfect, breakfast-worthy natural banana taste. This was my winner for first thing in the morning.
Blue Blaster – This one is deliciously sweet tart with orange underpinnings and a brilliant purple-blue hue.
The Dreamsicle is richer than the others with more coconut cream – very tasty, but I think we weren’t in a big tangerine creamsicle mood. The Island Cuties was surprisingly free of coconut cream, but was packed with tropical fruits – Tony called this one a top pick as he loves all things pineapple. We didn’t get the chance to try the GoGo Green. I think because it was in transition – it used to be called the Mega Green Superfood Smoothie.
Dietary Notes: By ingredients, Cuties Juice Smoothies are vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, egg-free, gluten-free, peanut-free, soy-free, and tree nut-free. Nonetheless, check with the company on their manufacturing processes for all varieties if potential allergen cross-contamination is an issue for you. Processes and labeling are subject to change at any time for any company / product.

I picked up the Dreamsicle on a whim one day without knowing anything about the brand.. Omigosh is it good. Haven’t been able to find it since though.
Well, it is still out there – I hope it reappears in your stores again soon. Agreed – it is awesome!
My son and I both were crazy about the dreamsicle flavor!! I wish it came in bigger sizes!
