Summary:

The all-natural, quick energy ingredients in these single-serve treats help to justify them as a snack on active days. The chews are sweet, tender, chewy and bursting with fruity flavor. The waffles are a unique delight of thin, flaky, cookie-like sandwiches with a pure honey filling.

Though some might describe these honey-sweet snacks as a dessert, athletes will argue the quick, all-natural energy of Honey Stinger products.

Honey Stinger Organic Energy Snacks - A true #dairyfree treat!

Either way you look at it, Honey Stinger Waffles and Energy Chews are delicious treats! It was seriously impossible to hold ourselves back once a package was opened, which is why I’m thankful that Honey Stinger offers organic kids’ varieties that are half the portion size.

Honey Stinger Waffles

Who would have thought to sandwich honey between tender, chewy waffle wafers? The food scientists at Honey Stinger are genius, pure genius. And they weren’t content to stop with one flavor either. The “adult” Honey Stinger Waffles come in an abundance of flavors, and the Kids’ line has started out with two varieties. Thus far, we’ve sampled the following wheat-based organic flavors:

Lemon – The tender, flaky, cookie-like outer waffles sandwich a delicious honey with notable lemon essence. Each bite tasted like pure dessert and pure awesome. What’s interesting is that the outer waffles actually aren’t very sweet, but the inner layer of honey permeates this thin sandwich for well-balanced flavor.

Honey – Mmm-mm-m! This straight up Honey Stinger waffle was even sweeter than the Lemon, with a very pure honey taste. So addictive and hard to stop – I’m now dying to try more flavors!

Kids’ Honey – Call it the Kids’ category or portion-control for adults, either way these littler waffles (just 80 calories – half the size of the “adult” waffles) provided just the right amount of indulgence. I certainly can’t categorize these Honey Stinger snacks as healthy, but they do offer quick all-natural and organic sugars for busy summer play, endurance sports, and powering through the day. And dang are they tasty.

Kids’ Chocolate – Since I wanted a kid to sample at least one, I didn’t get the chance to trial the chocolate. But, the teen who did give it a taste voted two very big thumbs up and was surprised by the soft, cookie-like nature.

Honey Stinger Energy Chews

Fruit Smoothie – Not really knowing what “fruit smoothie” should taste like in a chew, I would just describe this as a super-sweet, jolly rancher-like treat in a soft, chewy format with all natural ingredients. It’s spiked with honey and vitamin C, and has no artificial colors or flavors – bonus!

Cherry Cola – Unlike the other flavors of Honey Stinger energy chews that we trialed, this one isn’t certified organic, but it is made with 95% organic ingredients. It also has a bit of caffeine from white tea extract and has a fun, cola flavor.

Honey Stinger Energy Chews - All-Natural, Organic, Fruity Snacks

Kids’ Sour Citrus – In the picture above, the “adult” Honey Stinger chews are the big round gumdrops, while the “kids” are about half the size and more rectangular in shape. Nonetheless, they have the same soft, chewy, and a little sticky consistency with a sweet fruity taste. However, the Citrus has a nice tart contrast.

Kid’s Mixed Berry –  Just as yummy as the Citrus, but slightly less tart with more of a strawberry-raspberry flavor.
