One of the great things about vacationing with six other “free from” bloggers and cookbook authors is the ability to eat everything in sight. It might not be the best diet plan, but it was so nice to enjoy a worry-free break at the beach with good friends. Every last morsel was gluten-free AND dairy-free, a paradise smorgasbord for this group of food-loving friends. There were amazing breakfasts, power lunches, hearty dinners, almost-virtuous desserts, and of course, we couldn’t let our stomachs sit idle for a second, so there had to be snacks. On the first day, we busted into both bags of the Enjoy Life Seed & Fruit Mix I had packed.
Mountain Mambo
I brought one of each variety, and it was hard to say which one that I liked most. One boasted tropical fruit, the other was warm wintry fruit and chocolate. I adore Enjoy Life’s mini chocolate chips, but did find myself diving into the Beach Bash just a bit more. Perhaps it was that coastal vibe driving my cravings at the time. I didn’t get a vote from the others on which one was best, but judging by the sizable dents in the snack bowls, I’m guessing that they were equally enjoyed.

My husband found the Mountain Mambo one at Natural Grocers this past summer. He looked long and hard for it. It was for vacations and camping. It is yummy. I haven’t seen the beach bash one where I live.
I’m actually working on some trail mix granola bars (a recipe for the website here) right now, and am using that Mountain Mambo!
