Summary:

Delicious savory or spicy flavors, an audible crunch, low sugar, low fat, high protein, and delicious! What more could I want in healthy chips?

Alisa Fleming ~ I love product innovators. Some people have the drive to take what they want to see in a healthy food, and make it happen. The founder of Wellness Foods is one of those amazing entrepreneurs. Several years ago they launched the first low carb, dairy-free and vegan protein bar, The Simply Bar. Then they made it even better, lowering the sugars to a mere 3 grams per bar! Now, with the demand for a soy-free option, and the ability to think beyond a bar, Wellness Foods has introduced a protein bar alternative, Simply Protein Healthy Chips.

The word “protein” doesn’t usually make my taste buds do a happy dance, but I tell you, these healthy chips are delicious! Simply Protein Chips are made with pea protein and potato, so they are completely dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free, and vegan! The combination of the protein and the potato gives them an audible crunch that is simply irresistible.

As for the taste, Simply Protein healthy chips come in two tasty flavors …

Simply Protein Healthy Chips - Vegan, Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free

Chili -  These chili-flavored healthy chips have a spicy-sweet heat that is flavorful, and just within range for my timid taste buds. Spice lovers will like the cayenne bite, but those who love to savor their snacks will appreciate that these aren’t over-the-top hot.

Simply Protein Healthy Chips - Vegan, Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free

Herb – The Herb Simply Protein Chips have an amazing mellow garlic and onion flavor with a hint of sweetness. I was so impressed with fresh herbs actually came tumbling out of the bag. This is real food people!

As for the nutritionals, each bag of chips contains just 2 grams of sugars, 4 grams of fat, 140 calories, and a whopping 15 grams of protein. I like that the servings are fairly generous, too … expecially considering how addictive these healthy chips are!

Dietary Notes: By ingredients, the bars are Vegan, Vegetarian, Kosher Parve, Dairy-Free, Egg-Free, Gluten-Free, Peanut-Free, Tree Nut-Free, and Soy-Free, but see the packaging and contact the company for allergen and manufacturing “may contain” labeling.
