I recently had the chance to try Sweet Pete’s chocolates and candies for the first time, and mmmmm. With all of the dairy-full goodies being handed out during the holiday season, Sweet Pete’s treats are the perfect reward to get from mom and dad after ‘trading in’ all of the off-limits foods the little ones receive. They’d be great for any other time of year, too. Actually, I could go for some right now….
We sampled several of Sweet Pete’s dairy-free candies and chocolates, including Gluten Free Chocolate Dipped Sandwich Cookies, Gluten Free Vegan Sea Salt Caramels, Vegan Friendly Gluten Free Dairy Free Nut Free Taffy, Gluten Free Chocolate Caramel Clusters, and their Gluten Free Vegan Peanut Butter Meltaways.
My family and I enjoyed the rich chocolate coating on the Gluten Free Chocolate Dipped Sandwich Cookies—a much richer flavor than your typical chocolate-covered cookie. And the gluten-free cookie has a pleasant crunch and texture.
The Vegan Friendly Gluten Free Dairy Free Nut Free Taffywould make a perfect classroom treat and comes in the prettiest pastel colors. Not to skip ahead, but these would look so pretty at Easter!
It was exciting to give my daughter her first ‘turtle’—the Gluten Free Chocolate Caramel Cluster—although it was very hard to share! The sea salt caramel and rich chocolate made one of the best chocolate/nut/caramels I have ever tasted. And I’ve tasted a lot.
Hands down, our family’s favorite candy was the Gluten Free Vegan Peanut Butter Meltaways. The creamy texture! The chocolate! The subtle peanut butter flavor! Just perfect. As good as the meltaways I used to buy at our local downtown candy store.
Let the season of sweet treats begin with Sweet Pete’s!
