This recipe was shared by Manitoba Harvest, the makers of Hemp Bliss, in their October 2007 newsletter – “It’s apple season and from the kitchen of one of our our very own chefs and educators, Joanne Speakman, comes this awesome smoothie recipe.”
2 cups Hemp Bliss organic hemp milk (original or vanilla)
1 large or 2 small fresh apples, cored, peeled if desired, and diced
¼ cup maple syrup ( optional)
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
4-8 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. Serves 2-4.
