Updated! I have subscribed to hundreds of food-oriented newsletters from organizations, bloggers, and companies over the years. But one that I miss the most is the eclectic recipe update from Manitoba Harvest. Each month they would feature basic yet delicious recipes from Kristen Suzanne, a former competitive bodybuilder turned raw foods chef. In one of those updates, Kristen Suzanne shared this healthy hemp sunset smoothie.
This red sunset smoothie recipe with photo was first reprinted here with permissions from Manitoba Harvest way back in 2008!
Kristen Suzanne has penned numerous raw food cookbooks, ranging from soups to salads to straight up chocolate. She follows a different diet these days, but still blogs at Kristen’s Raw. And she still whips up delicious food, like this unique red sunset smoothie recipe.

Delightful looking drink! I’m hoping for some sun on our bank holiday Monday tomorrow so if we do, it’s BBQ and red sunset smoothie time!
That would be perfect! I hope you enjoyed the holiday Sarah.
