&pizza is a Northeastern Counter-Culture Chain with Abundant Vegan Options

Thanks to Corinne for sharing &pizza with us on our Facebook page:

Have you heard of &pizza before? It’s a DC chain that recently opened a spot in NYC. I’ve been a few times, and it was great. You can build your own dairy free pizza! It has lots of vegan options which are all clearly marked and the pizza is delicious.

&pizza is a “counter-culture” pizza brand that pays a living wage, uses cleaner ingredients, and offers creative pizzas. They use local produce and pass on ingredients that contain high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors.

And their vegan offerings are abundant. They have two types of dough (traditional and ancient grain), a few sauce options, dairy-free mozzarella, a good selection of vegetables, and even protein options (spicy chickpea and vegan sausage). They also offers a fun assortment of sodas that they list as vegan.

&pizza also offers a gluten-free crust, which isn’t vegan, but it might be dairy-free. Unfortunately, they don’t list dairy-free items specifically, so you will need to inquire on additional toppings if you aren’t strictly vegan.

  1. Hey! &pizza has a texting service which I used to ask if the crusts contained any dairy. They replied saying all their crusts are completely vegan. Happy eating!
