Bliss Ice Cream Stand holds the window spot between CoreLife Eatery and Chuck Hafner’s Farmers Market that was once occupied by The Ice Cream Stand. Like their predecessor, they offer vegan soft serve. But in a bolder move, they have a full vegan menu.
The soft serve is Temptation brand, made by Chicago Vegan Foods, and is made with organic soy. It’s dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free, peanut-free, fat-free, and non-GMO verified, and I’ve heard it’s pretty darn delicious. It comes in chocolate and vanilla flavors, which can be twisted together. I’m guessing that’s how most people order it. But if you’re craving something fruity, they have red raspberry Dole whip, too!
The current manager of Bliss Ice Cream Stand is vegan herself, so she wanted to make sure they had ample options. Their vegan menu include all types of chilly desserts, like root beer and orange cream floats, oreo flurries, and specialty sundaes like tin roof and banana split. They also have a big selection of vegan milkshakes, ranging from vanilla to mocha to pb oreo. For serving, guests can choose a cup, standard cone, waffle cone, or gluten-free cone.
At last check, they were open seven days a week, from around noon into the late evening.
