MO, Kansas City – Blue Koi: Noodling Around with Vegan Dumplings

0

Thanks to Wendy N. for emailing this recommendation for Blue Koi:

Blue Koi is a local favorite for vegan eaters. Their vegan choices are labeled on the menu.

Wendy mentioned their Kansas City location, but they actually have a second location in Leawood Kansas too. These popular restaurants are run by the Chang family of Genghis Khan Mongolian Barbecue fame. And this is Chinese comfort food at its best.

They make their own noodles and dumplings from scratch, and most of their menu is naturally dairy-free. As mentioned, they do indeed have many vegan options, like Eggplant Pockets, Crispy Tofu with Awesome Sauce, and Veggie Dumplings. And they have several gluten-free menu items.

Their beverages include loose leaf teas, a full bar, and bubble teas. Most of their bubble teas are made with dairy, but they reportedly have a few vegan options that can be made with soymilk.

And we’ve heard that these restaurants are also hip hang outs. They just might have been featured on Diners, Drive Ins & Dives with Guy Fieri.
