Brown dog in Northville Michigan makes and serves dairy free ice cream!!

The Barlor name comes from Bar + Ice Cream Parlor. But this is a full service restaurant too! Browndog actually has two locations, but the Northville restaurant seems to have a bigger menu. They also serve lunch and Sunday brunch. It looks like the Farmington location is only open for dinner. But both locations of their ice cream.

Browndog’s creamery churns classic dairy ice cream flavors, but they always have two dairy-free and vegan varieties on the menu. This includes¬†Flash’s Favorite Ice Cream, a soy-based vegan vanilla ice cream with carob chips, and Blood Orange Coconut Ice Sorbet. Both can be ordered by the scoop, pint, or as a milkshake. And they reportedly offer other rotating vegan flavors at times.

Although the options aren’t plentiful, they do label dairy-free, gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options right on the menu. And it’s very possible that they can make some other menu items dairy-free upon request. Currently, they have the very unique Veganator sandwich, which is vegan. And they have dairy-free Thai Peanut Tacos, which can be enjoyed for a discount on Taco Tuesdays.
