CA, Anaheim – Fire + Ice

Thanks to Go Dairy Free viewer Janet, for emailing in this recommendation:

I can’t have dairy products and I live in Anaheim, CA. This is a place that I return to that gives me lots of choices in what to eat (I dislike getting stuck with the one thing on the menu that is dairy-free): Fire and Ice at the Anaheim Garden Walk.

Love this place for weekend brunches. They are a Mongolian BBQ type place, but for brunch they have a full breakfast side (omelets, pancakes, etc) that you add mix-ins to on the big grill AND they have the regular mongolian (meats, seafood, vegetables, pasta, etc) side. My kids and husband can eat the traditional (milk-filled) breakfast type foods while I get my non-dairy, completely delicious meal. If I get there early, they’ll cook it on the big (clean) grill for me. If the grill has already been used or is being used for things that shouldn’t be anywhere near my food, they take mine to the back and cook it in a separate pan and deliver it to my table. Sauces can be added, and there are quite a few that are dairy-free. Great service with a smile!

This is actually a small chain restaurant, but with just a few other locations scattered about the U.S. in tourist areas – such as Lake Tahoe and Boston.
