Pick Up Stix

This became a go-to spot on a recent trip to Disneyland. They have numerous dairy-free options (most of the menu!), several gluten-free menu items (Tony and I were able to share!), and the food is much healthier than most fast food cuisine, but mighty tasty! They even offer a brown rice option at no additional charge. One entrée is big enough to split (they give you tons of rice!) if your appetites aren’t too big.

They do not seem to have allergen information on their website, but gluten-free entrees are clearly marked on-site, and they seemed quite helpful with ingredients. Upon email inquiry, I received the following from Pick Up Stix customer service:

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.  Since the majority of our menu items do not contain dairy (milk), I think it is easier for me to give you a list of the items that do.  Please note that I did not include eggs as part of this list so if I need to revise it to remove items containing egg, please let me know.

Items that DO contain milk:

  • Cream Cheese Wontons
  • Beef & Broccoli
  • Garlic Beef, Chicken, Shrimp, Tofu or Veggies
  • Chicken, Shrimp or Tofu & Vegetables
  • Vegetable Fest – Dark & White
  • All variations of Fried Rice
  • Wonton Soup
  • Chocolate Dipped Fortune Cookie

For further reference, our Gluten-Free items are:

  • Edamame
  • Grilled Bourbon Chicken
  • Thai Coconut Curry Chicken, Shrimp or Tofu
  • Sweet & Sour Chicken (when ordered with STEAMED WHITE MEAT CHICKEN specifically) or Tofu
  • Steamed White or Brown Rice
  • Pad Thai Chicken or Shrimp
  • Japanese Miso Chicken Salad with Dressing

Please note that this list is current as of today (8/23/13).  Each of our store locations has an Allergen Guide on site that they would be happy to review with you at your time of visit.  In addition, please keep in mind that all of our food is prepared in a common kitchen so allergens could be present in any dish.  Please use your own judgment upon consumption.

We went to the Fullerton, CA location, which was clean and friendly, but they have dozens of locations from San Clemente to Oxnard, and as far East as San Bernadino (at last check). See their website for locations, phone numbers, and hours.
