CA, Los Angeles Area – KindKreme Vegan Ice Cream Shop

KindKreme originally opened  the first all vegan (dairy-free and egg-free) ice cream shop in the LA area. They’ve since changed their business model and now have one free-standing store remaining in Pasadena and new locations are within restaurants, including Sage in Echo Park and Sage Farm Plant Based Bistro & Beer Garden in Culver City.

KindKreme is touted as gourmet, raw, organic, vegan ice cream (or IceKreme as they call it!) that appears to be soy-free and gluten-free, too (they have just one topping that contains gluten). They use nuts (almonds and cashews) and coconut for the creamy bases. Strict vegans should note that they do use honey in some of the flavors, but it looks like they have agave options too. Their flavors range from ordinary (Chocolate, Maple Pecan, Honey Vanilla, etc) to extraordinary (Superfood, Honey Strawberry Blueberry Lemonade, Chocolate Espresso Chip, Caramel Apple, etc).

The options at KindKreme include hard-packed ice cream scoops, soft serve, smoothies, shakes, floats, sundaes, coffee drinks, hot chocolate, juices, and a modest cafe menu.

See the website below for locations in Pasadena, Echo Park and Culver City (coming soon).
