Lulu’s: Beachfront Lucy Buffett Restaurants with Allergy Menus


This vibrant beach restaurant chain by Lucy Buffett is known for their fun environment and their allergy-friendly menus! Lulu’s provides a whole set of menus  for dairy-free, egg-free, gluten-free, nut-free, seafood-free, and soy-free items. They’re very dedicated to serving safe lunch and dinner for everyone. And in 2020, they added a separate “allergen free” kitchen at their Gulf Shores location. For added safety, LuLu’s managers and supervisors serve as allergen free menu wait staff and then personally cook and deliver the meal back to the table.

And the dairy-free menu is HUGE! It includes piles of Starters & Snacks, Grilled or Blackened Baskets, Hamburgers, Sides, Big Ole Salads, and Sandwiches. You can enjoy their Famous Seafood Gumbo, Greek Salad, Jerk Chicken Sandwich, and much more. They also have options specifically for kids, like hamburgers and grilled chicken bites.

Beyond the food, Lulu’s is known for a fun family-friendly atmosphere, free live music, and beautiful beachfront locations. And you can enjoy it all with their lengthy beverage menu. They offer beer, wine, and lemonade basics, but also have a big assortment of blender drinks and cocktails.

This is a small restaurant chain, however, they are expanding. Current locations include Destin, Florida and Gulf Shores, Alabama. Lulu’s is one of the very few places I’ve been to eat with my dairy free son that took his allergy as seriously as we do. We also had a dairy free. Egg free, vegetarian with us that they took as equally as serious. The menu is very easy to read. We could not have asked for any better service.
