We received the announcement below on Modern Love Brooklyn, which is bound to be immensely popular with the vegan community. It’s the younger sister restaurant to Isa Chandra Moskowitz’s first restaurant, Modern Love Omaha.

Featuring a 100-percent vegan menu and a hand-picked natural wine selection, Modern Love Brooklyn opened on September 21st. The Williamsburg restaurant is a partnership between Isa Chandra Moskowitz, award-winning chef, cookbook author, and restaurateur, and Sara and Erica Kubersky, owners of MooShoes, a cruelty-free boutique in NYC & LA. Modern Love seats 62 and is the second location of Moskowitz’s popular restaurant, which she opened in 2014 in her adopted home of Omaha, Nebraska.
“It’s all about the food. If it’s awesome, then people will embrace us. That’s why we serve real, from-scratch, house-made food. Our name says it all. Classic foods with a modern twist, made with love. We make the most of every vegetable, legume, grain, and mushroom under the sun,” says Moskowitz.
The menu at Modern Love Brooklyn serves Starters, Salads, and Entrees with adventurous yet comforting appeal. There is Truffled Poutine with porcini gravy and truffled almond ricotta, Grilled Caesar with gluten-free polenta croutons and pepita parmesan, Pesto Gnocchi with housemade seitan sausages, and much more. The menu does include notations for gluten-free options, of which there are many, including for dessert! Blood Orange Cheesecake and this Chocolate Coconut Cream Pie are two gluten-free options that I spotted on their menu rotation.
Modern Love Brooklyn is a dinner-only restaurant, open five nights a week, at last check. And yes, it is definitely a good date night spot!
