Moxies Grill & Bar is Hip to Dairy-Free and Vegan Requests

    0
By Alisa Fleming on March 30, 2022 Dining Out, Suggested Restaurants, U.S. Restaurants

Updated March 2022! Years ago, a reader named Ann-Marie emailed to share her experience with the “upscale premium casual dining restaurant” chain known as Moxie’s Grill and Bar:

My daughter and I both have dairy allergies and like that this restaurant has a policy that if the server is told that there is an allergy. (not dietary preference), a manager goes through that ingredient list and double checks, every time.  The same manager usually delivers the meal too.  If we ask, they will give my daughter an alcohol free fruit margarita in their desert cups instead of ice cream.

From what we’ve heard, Moxie’s still has the same great service, and quite a few dairy-free and even vegan entrees to choose from.

Please not that not all menu items are available at every Moxie’s location. Each location serves a different range of the mains and other dishes. Also be aware of special order requirements in parentheses () next to the menu items, and see the Heads Up notes to help fill in the blanks.

Other Allergen & Dietary Notes: For vegan options, see the Vegan Menu Guide at the bottom of this post.

    • Prawn Tagliatelle (no baguette)

There is always a risk for potential cross-contamination of allergens in any commercial kitchen. If cross-contamination is an issue for you, always speak with the manager to ensure that your meal can be safely prepared. Listings here do not guarantee that a restaurant is safe enough for your individual needs. Only you can make that decision.

Each location of a chain restaurant has different management and staff, and some might have different owners. This means differences in processes, ingredients used, menu options, and food sourcing can occur. Always verify the safety of your order for your needs at your current location.

Moxie’s is Excellent for Dairy-Free Dining

I have a severe dairy allergy, and at times it can be very difficult to find a restaurant I can feel safe eating at. With Moxie’s, this has never proven to be an issue. Their wait staff and management are always very careful about checking ingredients, and the kitchen is very good at making appropriate substitutions or deletions to ensure I don’t have any issues. I highly recommend Moxie’s!
