To detox from both the heavy food and the hustle bustle of a conference in Las Vegas, a couple of friends and I found our way to Greens and Proteins (the Eastern location). The staff was friendly, cheerful and helpful as we waffled back and forth on their enticing healthy menu. In the end, we each got a smoothie (Green Shake for me, Green Leaf Berry Blast and Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Shake for the others), and none of us were disappointed.
But beyond the smoothies and juices, Greens and Proteins has other enticing healthy beverages, like the Chocolate Veggiechino and Pumpkin Chai Tea Latte
(with dairy-free options), and a big menu of food that includes full breakfasts, salads, sandwiches, pizza (yes, they have vegan cheese alternative!), wraps, and build your own bowls. The menu at Greens and Proteins is packed with dairy-free selections, but they also cater to vegan, raw, paleo, gluten-free, and soy-free with ease.
Sample food options at Greens and Proteins include house made granola, Southwest tofu & chorizo burritos, ostrich burgers, veggie pizza, and SO much more. Also, their “build your own menu” includes a range of proteins (from a bison patty to ahi tuna to ostrich to marinated tofu), vegetables, “grains” (even spaghetti squash is an option!), and sauces (inquire on dairy-free selections.
To note, Greens and Proteins is a casual eatery with healthy fast food, to-go appeal, but ample tables for sit-down dining. Greens and Proteins has two Las Vegas locations, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see more pop up. See their website below for full menus, locations, hours, and phone numbers.
