PA, Philadelphia – Metropolitan Bakery

The bustling Metropolitan Bakery was established decades ago, and has since expanded to offer multiple retail outlets and a much newer cafe, for a sit-down option. Though we couldn’t verify if the Metropolitan Bakery locations offer pastries and sweets that are dairy-free (please feel free to comment if you find some gems there!), they do offer full ingredient lists of their Daily Breads online. Several are dairy-free by ingredients, like the Organic Miche rounds, Whole Wheat loaves, and French Berry rolls. But strict vegans should take note that several of the breads do contain honey.

The Metropolitan Bakery also bakes and bags their own house granolas, one of which is dairy-free and gluten-free, specifically.

See their website below for all locations, phone numbers, and simplified menus (we’ve been told that in-store they offer more ingredient details).
