Please note that Eden restaurant came under new ownership and is now called Spinach. It looks like much of their menu has remained the same though.
Eden is redefining health food with fun dairy-free, gluten-free food like Cheesy Penne, burritos, and waffles piled high with sweet toppings. This Pittsburgh spot is allergy friendly with a mostly vegan and raw menu. Eden does serve eggs at brunch, so it’s not completely vegan/plant-based. However, they do offer a fully plant-based menu at dinner and have a ton of delicious egg-free brunch options, too.
The chef and co owner of Eden, Hilary Zozula, focuses on creating unique and delicious dishes, while still getting the most nutrient value from the ingredients. Not only does Eden want to make their customers happy, they believe it is just as important to keep their employees happy and treated fairly. They also do their best to support local Pittsburgh companies and source as much of their food from their community as possible.
The menu at Eden changes seasonally to make the most of the freshest local vegetables and flavors. But they do have some house favorites, like the Raw Burgers and the Coconut Chickpea Burger offered at brunch. Make sure to leave room for dessert though. With healthy vegan treats like Gingerbread Cake, chia pudding, and assorted pies, you won’t be able to resist! These desserts taste great and leave you feeling good, too (as long as you didn’t eat too much!).
