Shake Shack Blends these Dairy-Free Options into Their Menu

    0
By Alisa Fleming on May 3, 2023 Dining Out, Suggested Restaurants, U.S. Restaurants

It’s official. Shake Shack is rolling out their Non Dairy Chocolate Shakes and Chocolate Frozen Custard nationwide. They were created in partnership with NotCo, and launched last year in a test market. But they will now be sold throughout their entire network of U.S. restaurants. Oddly, Shake Shack doesn’t have any dairy-free burgers or sandwiches on their menu, but we’ve put together this dairy-free custom order guide. It also includes allergen notes and a separate vegan menu.

Shake Shack Dairy-Free Menu Guide with Allergen Notes and a Separate Vegan Menu Guide - includes dairy-free shakes and frozen custard!

Shake Shack Dairy-Free Menu Guide with Allergen Notes & Vegan Options

This menu guide includes dairy-free menu options first, followed by custom order components. Be aware of special order requirements in parentheses () next to the menu items, and see the Heads Up notes to help fill in the blanks. Please note that this guide is for the U.S. locations. Options may vary in other countries.

Other Allergen & Dietary Notes: All of the following, with the custom order specifications, are made without gluten, peanut, tree nuts, and allergenic soy, unless otherwise noted. Shake Shack does disclaim that they use soy oil for frying their French fries. But they might not disclose highly refined soybean oil in all foods. Ask if concerned about this ingredient. All of the following, except the breakfast sandwiches and Kimchi Slaw, can be made without egg if you substitute a vegan sauce option. For vegan options, see the Vegan Menu Guide at the bottom of this post.

Menus, ingredients, kitchen procedures, management, food sourcing, and restaurant protocols are subject to change at any time. Always read the menu and discuss your dietary needs with the staff before ordering. Make sure they can accommodate your situation. There is always a risk for potential cross-contamination of allergens in any commercial kitchen. If cross-contamination is an issue for you, always speak with the manager to ensure that your meal can be safely prepared. Listings here do not guarantee that a restaurant is safe enough for your individual needs. Only you can make that decision.

Each location of a chain restaurant has different management and staff, and some might have different owners. This means differences in processes, ingredients used, menu options, and food sourcing can occur. Always verify the safety of your order for your needs at your current location.
