NS, Halifax – The Wooden Monkey

This recommendation was emailed in by Karen of Avoiding Milk Protein.

Karen pointed out that they have lots of gluten-free and vegan options, which it appears they definitely do as indicated on the menu (they note specifically next to the menu items). Plus, it looks as if they have some dairy-free menu items for non-vegans too.

From their website: "Halifax's new restaurant where the menu is based on organic, macrobiotic, and locally grown fresh ingredients…"

In terms of location, they note, "Our new home is just across the street at 1707 Grafton Street. We will be closed from Feb 19-March 3rd. Come join us in our new location at the corner of Prince St and Grafton St."

So I recommend that you see their website for location, phone, and directions: www.thewoodenmonkey.ca
