CA, Berkeley – Gather Restaurant

According to their website, Gather is "A place where you can find seasonal food, carefully sourced and thoughtfully prepared to appeal equally to vegetarians and omnivores."

Their menu is half vegetarian (with numerous vegan options) and half meat / fish. They offer a plethora of dairy-free options, and even some raw food dishes. They even serve up cocktails from spirits distilled with organic grains and some vegan desserts. Oh yes, and the menus (lunch, dinner, and brunch) even denote which items are vegan and which are gluten-free!

As for the taste, I've read nothing but rave reviews.

Esquire awarded Gather's head chef, Sean Baker, as Chef of the Year for 2010. Now that says something.
