MA, Reading and Medford – Harrow’s Chicken Pies

My friend Barb emailed in this Massachusetts eatery recommendation:

“I am not sure if they ship these pies or if they are available in the frozen section at your grocer, but Harrows Chicken Pot Pies are fantastic and as long as you cook the pies at home vs. having them cooked for you, they are dairy, egg, soy , nut and peanut free.  They do not advertise as such, but I happened to stroll in one afternoon (I love pot pie and make a great one myself), so I asked and was surprised to find out the kids could eat it.  It is great when I do not have to do the cooking all the time. The gravy, soups and rolls are great too. The kids just love it. Thought I would pass along a good find.”

According to their website, they have four locations in the Boston area, and they have special menu items (and take orders) around the holidays. See their website for details, menus, locations, and phone numbers.

  1. Would you care to share your chicken pot pie recipe?! I’m looking for one as close to as good as harrows as possible! It blows my mind that a pie can be so creamy without dairy! 🙂
