MN, Minneapolis – Himalayan Restaurant

Indian restaurants can sneak dairy in many places, but this one understands vegan diets (they have many vegan options on their menu), so they should be able to help you navigate the offerings for both dairy-free and full vegan options (this isn’t a strictly vegetarian restaurant – they do offer meat and fish).

This restaurant has received very high reviews online, but only for ordering off of the menu. From the reviews I read, the buffet doesn’t get high marks.

  1. We eat at Himalayan frequently. The food style is Nepali, and they have recently moved to a bigger location. The buffet is wonderful (And EVERYTHING is labeled vegan, D.F. (dairy free), and G.F (gluten free)) This is the FIRST restaurant with a buffet I have been to that labels their food like this. (It is so nice to not have to ask!)
