Wild Wing Cafe

Thanks to Jessica for emailing this "non-recommendation" –

"I wanted to add a restaurant to the "not dairy friendly" list. Wild Wing Cafe uses margarine is almost every entree on its menu. Also a lot of items that seem to be okay at other restaurants are full of dairy at Wild Wing."

We thought it best to include this among our dining suggestions as a general review.

This is a chain (I do not believe they are affiliated with Buffalo Wild Wings though) with locations throughout South Calorina, Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Texas. They do not have ingredient / allergen information on their website, but you can contact them for more information via the website:

My husband works at Wild Wing Cafe (yes, it is different than Buffalo WW) and yes, they use margarine in most everything, but the margarine is safe for DF people. Their breadding on fried items uses buttermilk though – and quite a few items use ranch as an ingredient – which isn’t safe.

      • We’re updating our restaurant section and will be reviewing this topic. It sounds like they are not dairy-free regardless of the butter / margarine used due to buttermilk in the breading.
