NV, Las Vegas – Go Raw Cafe


I have eaten at this cafe twice now, and both experiences were pleasant. From others I have read mixed reviews, but this is mostly due to the service, not the food. Admitedly, both times I visited the staff was not particularly friendly … a bit surprising in this type of place (and it was completely different people working both times), but my friends and I found it to be a nice casual gathering spot to chat, and both times the food was very nicely prepared.

This is the only raw food restaurant I have eaten at, so it is hard to compare. But I did find that choosing the right dishes was a bit hit or miss, merely because of the different tastes and flavors, though all were prepared very well. I didn't really like the "spaghetti" but I am not a fan of raw zucchini, and could really taste it, but my friend liked it. We both agreed that the pizza and toasts were intriguing and delicious.

I have yet to trial their smoothies/juices, but I imagine that would be a hard thing to mess up!

Overall, the food presentation is very nice, and the dining experience is a tasty adventure. My only complaint is the prices. They are a touch high for a lunch out, but the serving sizes are surprisingly decent. I suppose the price tag is pretty common for raw food, but smoothies starting at $7 a pop (for average sized ones) seemed extreme. Good option though for healthy in Vegas!
