TX, Dallas – Kalachandji’s

Located in a Hare Krishna temple off Gurley Avenue in East Dallas, this restaurant serves lunch and dinner buffet-style, and is strictly vegan, with the exception of a few items on the daily menu which do contain dairy. However, they do clearly mark items containing dairy on both the board by the food, and on their website (you can check the daily offerings ahead of time!).

According to the Dallas Vegetarian Examiner, "Everything on the menu is quite tasty but my favorites include the dal (bean soup), pakora (veggies dipped in chickpea flower and deep fried), pappadam (spicy wafer bread made from dal beans) and the tamarind tea. And if they have vegan apple crisp that day you’ll want to give that a try too. Delicious!"
