The Brook is an award-winning vegan tapas and cocktail bar that now has a second location in London’s Hackney neighborhood.

They’re known for flavorful food and creative drinks. And just some of the small plates you will find on the menu include jackfruit quesadillas and loaded barbecue nachos (both with housemade nacho cheese), beer-battered guac balls, cajun nugz with ranch dip. They also have three types of veggie burgers (available with various toppings): their original beet burger, a burger made with nuts and mushroom, or their homemade seitan fillet floured in cajun spices.

Beyond savories, The Brook also a nice menu of “Desserts and Digestives.” It includes banoffee pie, green and blacks brownie, cheesecake, and more.

And of course their cocktail menu can’t be beat. It is beyond creative with drinks that use all types of liqueurs, fresh juices, spirits, and even aquafaba. Other drinks include beer, wine, cider, and cold pressed juices.

This is an evening spot only, and they are open select days of the week. So be sure to check their website (below) for their current hours, which can change. Outside of their opening hours, they do offer event catering, and have a set “feast” menu on their website.

Obviously everything at The Brook is dairy-free and egg-free. But they also note which items contain gluten, nuts, and/or soy right on the menu. But be sure to speak with your server if you’re dealing with an allergy.
