CA, Pasadena – The Pizza Plant: Grows Good Vegan Food

0

Thanks to Michael R. for recommending The Pizza Plant. It’s a vegan pizzeria that boasts 100% organic ingredients, house-made dairy-free cheeses and crusts, and a plethora of creative pizza toppings.

Their pizzas are on the pricey side, and aren’t huge, but the consensus is “so worth it.” This isn’t ordinary pizza, it’s craft pizza.

The house specialties have fun names like “Yes, We Will Take You To Funghi Town” and “Sinful Yet Guilt Free.” And they are complemented by unique toppings. The house-made vegan “meats” include shiitake bacon, Italian sausage, and pepperoni. The sauce choices are San Marzano marinara, pumpkin seed pesto, and cashew sour cream. And the veggie-forward toppings range from roasted eggplant and asparagus to avocado and hemp seeds.

You can order Artisanal Thin Crust, Thick Crust Pan Style, or a Gluten Free Crust for your pizza base. All three are available in two sizes: “All About Me” and “Share the Love.”

All of their house-made, dairy-free cheeses are branded as “Plant Craft.” I hope this means they will be packaging and selling the cheeses some day! Their primary line is cashew based, and it includes mozzarella, ricotta, and nacho cheese. But they also have Pecan Parmesan Crumble and a nut-free, soy-free Sunflower Mozzarella that can be substituted on any pizza.

The Pizza Plant is a plant-based, vegan pizza parlor in Pasadena, CA
