Yogurtland Expands Flavor Options for Dairy-Free FroYo Customers

    0
By Alisa Fleming on February 3, 2023 Dining Out, Suggested Restaurants, U.S. Restaurants

Updated February 2023! For years, Yogurtland simply watched competitors like 16 Handles, Orange Leaf, and TCBY succeed with vegan frozen yogurt flavors. But in 2020, they finally decided to swirl some creamy dairy-free options into their own mix. In fact, they’ve been releasing a couple new plant-based flavors a year. We’ve got the full details below, along with ingredients and allergen notes for the full non-dairy selection at Yogurtland.

Yogurtland Frozen Yogurt Shops: Dairy-Free and Vegan Menu Guide

Yogurtland Dairy-Free Menu Guide with Allergen Notes & Vegan Options

Despite the names, all of the following Yogurtland flavors are dairy-free by ingredients!

    • Probiotic Note: Unlike many other froyo chains, several of Yogurtland’s dairy-free flavors contain probiotics! They are crafted with seven live and active cultures, as outlined in the ingredients below. The sorbets and oatmilk-based flavors at Yogurtland are not cultured.
    • Vegan Options: The seasonal Key Lime Pie and Coconut Cream Pie flavors contain a wee bit of honey in the graham cracker crumble, so they aren’t strictly vegan. We’ve labeled which of the following flavors are vegan-friendly.
    • Allergen Notes: See the “contains” statements with the ingredients below for flavors containing gluten / wheat, soy, and nuts.
    • Flavor Availability: The dairy-free flavors at Yogurtland have limited availability, but often reappear. Each shop typically carries just one or two dairy-free / plant-based froyo or sorbet flavors at a time. However, they usually have a sorbet pop available, too. We’ve listed the creamy dairy-free flavors first, followed by a list of their rotating sorbet options.

    Plant-Based Blueberry Pancake (vegan)

This intriguing flavor, launched in mid-2022, merges real blueberries with their oatmilk base.

Yogurtland Plant-Based Blueberry Pancake FlavorIngredients: water, stabilizer (dextrose, tapioca syrup solids, maltodextrin, pea protein, oat concentrate, salt, tara gum, guar gum, gellan gum), sugar, coconut oil, blueberry juice concentrate, natural flavors, fruit and vegetable juice (color). contains: soy.

Nutrition (per ounce): 45 calories, 8g carbohydrates, 0g protein

    Plant-Based Brown Sugar Vanilla (vegan)

In January of 2022, Yogurtland launched their second dairy-free oatmilk-based flavor. It uses real vanilla for a comforting taste.

Yogurtland Dairy-Free & Vegan Flavor GuideIngredients: water, stabilizer (dextrose, tapioca syrup solids, maltodextrin, pea protein, oat concentrate, salt, tara gum, guar gum, gellan gum), sugar, coconut oil, natural flavors, caramelized sugar syrup, corn syrup, caramel color. contains: soy.

Nutrition (per ounce): 45 calories, 8g carbohydrates, 0g protein

    Dairy-Free Coconut Cream Pie

In my opinion, coconut cream pie is meant to be dairy-free! And this rich cultured flavor swirls the coconut cream filling and graham cracker crust into one.

Yogurtland Dairy-Free Coconut Cream Pie FlavorIngredients: water, sugar, maltodextrin, dextrose, coconut oil, graham crumb [enriched wheat flour (wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), graham flour, sugar, palm oil, brown sugar, honey, salt, baking soda, natural flavor], coconut cream (coconut extract, water, xanthan gum, carrageenan, guar gum), coconut milk powder (coconut milk powder, tapioca syrup, sugar esters), citrus fiber, stabilizer & emulsifier (vegetable mono & diglycerides, guar gum, carrageenan), natural flavors, artificial flavor, caramel color. contains cultures: s. thermophilus, bifidobacterium ssp., l. acidophilus, l. casei, l. rhamnosus, l. lactis, l. bulgaricus. contains: coconut, wheat.

Nutrition (per ounce): 50 calories, 10g carbohydrates, 0g protein

    Dairy-Free Key Lime Pie

Each swirl is infused with real key lime, coconut milk, and graham crackers for a dessert-worthy experience with a sweet and creamy texture.

Yogurtland Frozen Yogurt Shops: Dairy-Free and Vegan Menu GuideIngredients: water, cane sugar, maltodextrin, dextrose, coconut oil, graham crumb (enriched flour [wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid], graham flour, sugar, palm oil, brown sugar, honey, salt, baking soda, natural flavor), coconut cream (coconut extract, water, xanthan gum, carrageenan and guar gum), lime juice concentrate, natural flavors, coconut milk powder (coconut milk, tapioca syrup, sugar esters), citrus fiber, stabilizer and emulsifier (vegetable mono diglycerides, guar gum, carrageenan), ascorbic acid, citric acid, turmeric (color) artificial flavor, caramel color. contains cultures: s. thermophilus, bifidobacterium ssp., l. acidophilus, l. casei, l. rhamnosus, l. lactis, l. bulgaricus. contains: coconut, wheat.

    Plant-Based Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookie (vegan)

This flavor emerged in early 2021 as the first oatmilk-based flavor at Yogurtland. It doubled down on spice with a cinnamon streusel.

Yogurtland Dairy-Free & Vegan Flavor GuideIngredients: water, stabilizer (dextrose, tapioca syrup solids, maltodextrin, pea protein, oat concentrate, salt, tara gum, guar gum, gellan gum), sugar, coconut oil, oatmeal cinnamon streusel (sugar, enriched flour [wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid], oats, canola oil, cinnamon, salt, sodium bicarbonate, natural flavors), cinnamon, natural flavors. contains: wheat.

Nutrition (per ounce): 45 calories, 8g carbohydrates, 0g protein

    Plant-Based Salted Chocolate Soufflé (vegan)

Early in 2020, Yogurtland launched dairy-free Salted Chocolate Soufflé frozen yogurt, which is also gluten-free and vegan. It was rumored to be limited time offer, but has stayed on the menu.

Yogurtland Frozen Yogurt Shops: Dairy-Free and Vegan Menu GuideIngredients: water, sugar, maltodextrin, dextrose, coconut oil, coconut cream (coconut extract, water, xanthan gum, carrageenan and guar gum), cocoa processed with alkali, coconut milk powder (coconut milk, tapioca syrup, sugar esters), salt, vegetable mono diglycerides, guar gum, carrageenan, natural flavor, caramel color. Contains cultures: s. thermophilus, bifidobacterium ssp., l. acidophilus, l. casei, l. rhamnosus, l. lactis, l. bulgaricus. Contains: coconut.

Nutrition (per ounce): 45 calories, 9g carbohydrates, 0g protein

    Plant-Based Piña Colada (vegan)

This topical delight is a rich blend of real pineapple and coconuts that begs to be topped with their pineapple chunks and coconut flakes. It’s also gluten-free and fortified with vitamin C to help you refresh and replenish during the hot summer months.

Yogurtland Frozen Yogurt Shops: Dairy-Free and Vegan Menu GuideIngredients: water, sugar, maltodextrin, dextrose, coconut oil, pineapple juice concentrate, coconut extract, citrus fiber, vegetable mono & diglycerides, coconut milk, tapioca syrup, guar gum, xanthan gum, carrageenan, natural flavors, ascorbic acid, sugar esters. contains cultures: streptococcus thermophilus, bifidobacterium lactis, lactobacillus acidophilus, lactobacillus casei, lactobacillus rhamnosus, lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. lactis, lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus. contains: coconut.

Nutrition (per ounce): 50 calories, 10g carbohydrates, 0g protein

    Mixed Berry Smoothie Bowl (vegan)

In March 2020, Yogurtland put this no sugar added flavor on their menu. It’s a fruit-heavy blend that’s just lightly creamy from banana. Unlike their other flavors, it’s vegan, gluten-free, and isn’t made with any dairy alternatives or probiotic cultures.

Yogurtland Frozen Yogurt Shops: Dairy-Free and Vegan Menu GuideIngredients: apple juice from concentrate (water, apple juice concentrate), banana, water, maltodextrin, polydextrose, blueberries, marion blackberries, stabilizer & emulsifier (locust bean gum, xanthan gum), raspberries, natural flavors, citric acid, ascorbic acid. (nutritional information of smoothie bowl doesn’t include toppings)

    • Watermelon Sorbet (vegan)
    • Plant-Based Big Sorbet Pop (vegan)

Heads Up! The Pineapple Lime Coconut Sorbet is not listed as dairy-free. We aren’t sure why more of the sorbet flavors at Yogurtland are not listed as vegan. It isn’t clear in the ingredients, but you can inquire.

    Yogurtland Dairy-Free Toppings

They do not provide a detailed topping list, but offer a good range of fresh fruits and nuts for building a naturally dairy-free frozen yogurt dessert.

They also offer a few dairy-free surprises, like Plant-Based Chia Pudding. The pudding is made with oat milk, and yes, it really is at the topping bar!

Yogurtland also supplies some granolas and sandwich cookies for topping, some of which are vegan-friendly. But speak with the staff at your location to identify the dairy-free options. If you have cross-contamination concerns, they can usually pull a fresh bag of unopened topping from the back upon request.
