Zoup is a fast-casual franchise that serves a wide variety of daily soups, and made-to-order sandwiches, salads, and bowls. According to their website, they “something for everyone,” and that definitely includes dairy-free diners!
They have nutritional information online with easy listings for dairy-free, gluten-free, vegetarian, low-fat, and spicy. It’s actually a rather cool set up. You simply check your dietary preference and the food categories of choice, and it returns a list with details and nutrition facts. But they do not include full ingredient lists. You might be able to request these in store.
And the dairy-free options at Zoup are abundant. I counted almost forty dairy-free soups that could appear on their rotating menu. Just some of the possibilities include Jamaican Bay Gumbo, Chicken & Dumplings, North Indian Lentil, and Overstuffed Bell Pepper. Each soup is served with a big hunk of freshly baked bread, and all of their options appear to be dairy-free.
Most of their sandwiches come with cheese. But since they are made-to-order, and the breads are dairy-free, you should be able to customize most of them. The salads are the same situation – you might need to omit the cheese and request a dairy-free dressing. Fortunately, they have a good number of dressings and sauces that are dairy-free. These include Balsamic Raspberry Dressing, Balsamic Vinaigrette, Raspberry Vinaigrette, Fresco Salsa, Fat Free Italian (Canada only), Citrus Vinaigrette, Lemon Vinaigrette, and Maple Aioli.
Zoup also has a huge “No Good List,” which is a round-up of the ingredients they will never use. Basically they shun artificial ingredients, high fructose corn syrup, and other “questionable” ingredients.
