Laura's Pizza Sauce

Ingredients
  • 1 6-ounce can tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder*
  • 2 tablespoons dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
  1. In medium sized bowl, add tomato paste, olive oil and water; stir.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and stir.
  3. Ideally, you should allow the sauce to sit at room temperature for thirty minutes for flavors to develop from the herbs.
Notes
*Mike's original recipe uses 3 tablespoons garlic powder, but this seems very excessive. We recommend starting with no more than 1 teaspoon garlic powder (you can even use less), and add more, to taste, if desired.
